What to expect from the course
- Discover the captivating world of ceramics and pottery in our enriching Ceramics and Pottery Evening Course. Commencing late January 2024 and concluding early May 2024, this vocational-style course offers an introduction to the versatile realm of ceramics processes using clay. From understanding health and safety considerations to exploring the construction of 3D shapes, firing processes, and glazes, this course is designed to provide a foundation in ceramics.
Weekly sessions on Wednesdays (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
Location: The City of Liverpool College, The Arts Centre, Myrtle Street, L7 7JA
Throughout the course, you will experience hands-on learning, working with clay to create unique ceramic pieces. The course aims to inspire and encourage experimentation, allowing participants to unleash your creativity and develop your artistic expression. While you will have access to pottery wheels, please note that the course is not solely focused on wheel-thrown pottery. Instead, it offers a diverse range of ceramics processes, providing a well-rounded understanding of the medium.

Microsoft Office 365 - Free
When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

- This course is designed to impart skills and techniques in Ceramics and Pottery and can lead onto higher levels of study across Art and Design courses.

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free.
