Online Enrolment – Sept 2020 Start

We are delighted to announce the launch of The City of Liverpool College’s online enrolment platform.

If you have queries regarding online enrolment, please check the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section at the bottom of this page.


HOW DO I ENROL?

If you are a new student

  • You will receive an email with a link to the digital enrolment system, to the same email address you made your college application with.

If you are a returning student

  • Aged 16-18: you should have received your enrolment form by email for you to sign. If you have not received this, please contact helpdesk@liv-coll.ac.uk.
  • Aged 19 or over: you should have received an email with a link to the digital enrolment system. If you have not received this, please contact helpdesk@liv-coll.ac.uk.

NOTE: In order to enrol on a course you MUST first apply and receive an offer of a place. You still have time to apply for September 2020 start – APPLY NOW


ONLINE ENROLMENT

Our new online enrolment system makes the entire process easier and faster than before. In light of current social distancing measures, enrolling online also means that you can complete your enrolment without having to attend a college centre. The online enrolment system allows us to get to know more about you and any needs you may have before your first day on campus.

NEW STUDENTS - ENROLMENT FAQs

When will enrolment take place?

For courses starting in September 2020, enrolment begins at the end of August.

How should I enrol?

You should enrol online via the link we send you by email. Have a look at this handy step-by-step guides on how to enrol here:

Online enrolment for new students

Do I need to come to college to complete my enrolment?

No, enrolling online means that you can complete your enrolment without having to attend a college centre.

What information do I need to enrol?

You will need your exam results and personal details.

I am trying to enrol but cannot upload my photograph, what should I do?

This is usually because the file size is too big. Check:

  • Photo is square
  • Photo is less than 1mb
  • Photo is similar to a passport photo
  • Photo is a jpg (file type)

Try taking a screenshot of the original image and uploading the screenshot instead.

If this doesn’t work, please remove your photo and try again. Sign out and sign in again, this will take you to the courses on offer page. Once signed in: 

  • Desktop:  Click your initials in the top right corner, and click “remove photo”. 
  • Mobile: Click user icon (top right of screen) > Click initial > Remove photo 
It says my account is not activated, what should I do?

If you get a message saying your account needs activation, this usually means you have not clicked the activation link in your email. You can resend the activation link.  Sign in, then click “resend activation” to trigger another email, you can then click the activation link you’ve been emailed to sign in.

I've got a 'critical error' message.

This is usually because the file size of your photograph is too big. Check:

  • Photo is square
  • Photo is less than 1mb
  • Photo is similar to a passport photo
  • Photo is a jpg (file type)

Try taking a screenshot of the original image and uploading the screenshot instead.

If this doesn’t work, please remove your photo and try again. Sign out and sign in again, this will take you to the courses on offer page. Once signed in:

Does everyone have to enrol online?

We understand that some of you may not be able to complete the full enrolment process online and we will provide support and face to face alternatives where necessary. For more information about this please contact enquiry@liv-oll.ac.uk.

What happens after enrolment?

After you have completed your enrolment,you will receive your welcome pack which contains information about your timetable. Please note it can take 1-2 days after you submit your enrolment for this to be processed.

I haven’t received my enrolment link email, what should I do?

Please check your email spam/junk folder. Please also ensure you are checking the right email address – this will be the email address you used when you applied to the college for new students. If you need to change this email address, let us know at helpdesk@liv-coll.ac.uk.

How will I get my student ID badge?

You will receive your City of Liverpool College ID badge in the post after your enrolment is complete. You do not need to come into the College to collect your ID badge. If you haven’t received your ID badge before your first day, don’t worry. We will issue you a temporary badge for the first week until your badge arrives.

How can I apply for additional financial support with travel passes, meals, etc?

You may be eligible for additional financial support such as free meals, a bursary or a travel pass. Click here for further information and instructions on how to apply.

When will I receive my welcome pack?

Most welcome packs have now been sent. Please note that when you submit your online enrolment, you should allow 1-2 days for your welcome pack to arrive.

When will I receive my timetable?

Timetables will be available from 5th September via Proportal. Full details are included in your welcome pack.

What if I still need help?

RETURNING STUDENTS - ENROLMENT FAQS

When will enrolment take place?

  • Your digital enrolment form for signature (for students aged 16-18); or
  • A link to complete your enrolment (for students aged 19 and over).

  • All students age 19 and over should have received their digital enrolment link. If you have not had this, please contact helpdesk@liv-coll.ac.uk.
How will I get my student ID badge?

All returning students have had their ID badges sent in the post. Please use your existing lanyard and simply replace your old badge with your new one.

You do not need to come into the College to collect your ID badge.

If you have not yet received yours, please contact lrc@liv-coll.ac.uk.
