Partnerships

Our teacher education and training programmes have been designed in consultation with employers and university partners to produce graduates with the subject knowledge and skills to inspire the young people and adults that they teach.

We offer full teacher training qualifications and professional development opportunities for individuals working or aspiring to work in training and educational establishments right across the sector, from colleges and sixth forms to prison and community education settings.

We are a member of the Education and Training Consortium, an extensive partnership of further and higher education providers across the north of England led by the University of Huddersfield.

Don’t take our word for it (student success)

Former students on Teacher Training courses have a lot to say about what makes The City of Liverpool College a great place to learn…

"Studying for my PGCE in Lifelong Learning with the College has been a fantastic experience. The bespoke support offered to each individual is like no course I have ever been on before, and the facilities available are wonderful. In HE, the class sizes are small which is something that I have thoroughly enjoyed, as my course group have established strong relationships with one another, and we have all come to rely on each other for advice whenever it's needed. I couldn't recommend the college enough and the opportunities they have provided in the department."
