Assessment in 2021

Teacher Assessed Grades

Teacher assessed grades – TAG – are awarded based on marked work from your course. They are an indication of your achievement, not a prediction.

Which?

Not all courses will be assessed by TAG. Your subject tutors will tell you if your course is, partially, or is not being assessed by TAG.

When?

Your subject tutors will tell you which pieces of work are being used to determine your TAG. These will be a range of pieces of work from different points in this academic year 2020-21.

How?

Your work will be marked and assessed, and the grades will be moderated to ensure they are fair.

You will be told which pieces of work are being used for the TAG and the grades you achieve for these, but we are not allowed to tell you your TAG until results day.

Then?

Results days are 10th August for level 3 qualifications, and 12th August for level 2. Your course tutors will help if you are unsure.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a TAG review process for any queries after you receive your TAG.

For more information, contact your subject tutors or progress leader.
